Tenelon Properties
Tenelon is a high Manganese steel which was
produced by US Steel 20 years ago. Its main virtue is that it is a good
shielding material. There is little or no properties information on it.
The closest steels that match it are 201 & 202 SS. The properties listed below
are recommended for use in the ARIES project (thanks to Igor Sviatoslavsky).
You can interpolate linearly between temperatures.
Composition: 0.1 C, 15 Mn, 0.6 Si, 18 Cr, 0.3 Ni, balance Fe
sY annealed (30 °C) 270 MPa
sU annealed (30 °C) 680 MPa
Tmelt 1400-1420 °C

Density 7.75 g/cm3
