Flint Leaving Senate Appropriations Post

December 6, 1999

Alex Flint is leaving his post as Clerk of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water at the end of the month. Since 1996, he has been the key person determining the level of the fusion budget in Senate appropriations markups. Previously, he worked in the office of Senator Pete V. Domenici (R-NM). Alex will join Johnston & Associates, a Washington-based lobbying firm formed in 1997 by Senator J. Bennett Johnston upon his retirement from the Senate. Flint's predecessor in the appropriations post, W. Proctor Jones, is also a member of Johhnston's firm.
