A Cruise on the Web

July 3, 1999

Not going on an ocean cruise this weekend? Try the following web cruise, suggested by Ronald D. Stambaugh (Stambaugh@gav.gat.com) of General Atomics.

This message is to call to your attention the various sources of information that can be found on the General Atomics fusion Website http://fusion.gat.com/. Point at Science and Technology and go into the submenu that appears.

The DIII-D Program Site http://fusion.gat.com/DIII-D/ contains a vast amount of information on the DIII-D tokamak research program and the tokamak program in general. I call your attention to the Technical Bulletins http://fusion.gat.com/DIII-D/techbulletins/ that give one page recent research highlights written for a technical audience and the Research Highlights site http://fusion.gat.com/d3d_hilites/ written for a more general audience.

On the US Advanced Tokamak Site http://fusion.gat.com/at/ you will find the Tokamak White Paper http://fusion.gat.com/at/advtok_wh_paper.pdf and links to other tokamak Websites, next step option designs, and reactor designs.

Under Presentations http://fusion.gat.com/presentations/ you will find links to various Review papers on advanced tokamaks and transport barriers, presentations in recent review forums such as SEAB and FESAC, a position paper on disruptions, and a sub-site on GA views on the a next step Spherical Torus based Fusion Development Facility http://fusion.gat.com/st-fdf/

These sites are being rapidly updated so check back frequently if a link does not work.
