A meeting on Prospects for High Gain Inertial Fusion Energy is scheduled for March 2-3 at the Royal Society in London. The meeting is intended to inform the preparation/update of the European Union roadmap for inertial fusion energy. Organizers of the meeting include Prof. Peter Norreys (who is also leading the preparation of the EU Roadmap), Dr. Kate Lancaster, Prof. Mark Koepke, Prof. George Tynan and Dr. Christopher Ridgers.

The organizers state that one of the purposes of the meeting is "to begin preparations for the next generation facilities that enable movement directly to high energy gain".
