Prof Yican Wu Receives 2 Honors

Professor Yican Wu, Director General of the INEST (Institute of Nuclear Energy Safety Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences), has been named an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and also an Academician of the International Nuclear Energy Academy, owing to his outstanding achievements in the area of nuclear energy and safety.

Prof. Wu has also been leading the FDS team (the team of Frontier Development of Sciences). Under his strong leadership and insightful vision, INEST has become one of the world-leading teams and a creative power in the field of innovative nuclear systems.

Prof. Wu stated, “This achievement could not be made without strong support from national and international colleagues, which has been always sincerely appreciated”.

INEST is an Institutional Member of Fusion Power Associates and Prof. Wu is a member of its Board of Directors.
