The report would provide the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences with $540 M compared with $505 M appropriated in FY 2014 and $416 M requested in the President's FY 2015 request. Of that, the bill would provide $315 M for the domestic fusion program compared with $305.667 M appropriated in FY 2014 and $266 M requested by the President. In addition, it would provide $225 M for US contributions to the ITER project compared to $200 M appropriated in FY 2014 and $150 M requested by the President. Detailed allocations for subprograms are on pages 118-120 at the report link above.
The report also provides to NNSA's Inertial Confinement Fusion and High Yield Campaign $511.993 M which is $1.964 M below the FY 2014 appropriation and $0.902 M below the President's request.
The House bill must eventually be reconciled with a similar bill in the Senate and then passed by both Houses of Congress and then signed by the President.
