Grant Logan to Receive FPA Distinguished Career Award

B. Grant Logan, recently retired from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, has been selected by Fusion Power Associates Board of Directors to receive FPA's 2012 Distinguished Career Award. The Award will be presented at Fusion Power Associates annual meeting and symposium, December 5-6 in Washington, DC.

In selecting Dr. Logan, the FPA Board recognizes his decades of high quality contributions to fusion research and development at both the Lawrence Livermore and Lawrence Berkeley National laboratories. The Board especially notes his technical contributions to the fusion magnetic mirror program at LLNL, his many analytical assessments of potential fusion non-electric applications and his leadership of the national heavy ion fusion program while at LBNL.

Fusion Power Associates Distinguished Career Awards have been given annually since 1987 to individuals who have made distinguished lifelong career contributions to fusion development. A list of previous recipients is posted at http://fusionpower.org and click on Awards.
