Tony Taylor Named VP at General Atomics

Effective 7 January 2012, Dr. Tony Taylor has been appointed Vice President of the Magnetic Fusion Energy (MFE) Division, with responsibility for the DIII-D National Fusion Program, the GA ITER Program and MFE Technologies.

Tony has been with GA and involved in fusion research for over 32 years, starting as a Senior Scientist in 1979. Tony is a recognized and respected leader in the International Magnetic Fusion community, was a recipient of Fusion Power Associates 2008 Leadership Award and is a member of Fusion Power Associates Board of Directors.

Tony succeeds Ron Stambaugh, who retired in August 2011.
