Jeff Hoy was presented a Special Award for Project Management for his "many years of management and oversight of fusion construction projects and other projects within the DOE Office of Science." It was noted that, most recently, he has "assisted in both the establishment and management of the U.S. ITER Project Office responsible for the U.S. contributions to this multi-billion-dollar international construction project and also have been contributing your expertise to the international ITER Organization through its Management Advisory Committee. Darlene Markevich was presented a Special Award for Education and Outreach for her "many years of management and oversight of the fusion education and outreach activities funded by the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences." It was noted that her "dedication to the education of teachers, students and the general public has contributed to an increased awareness and appreciation of plasma science and fusion research."
