Niek Lopes Cardozo Addresses Students at UN

Professor Niek Lopes Cardozo, head of fusion research at the FOM-Institute for Plasma Physics Rijnhuizen, Netherlands, made the opening speech at a UN students conference in New York, March 6-7. Over seven hundred students from all over the world took part in the annual United Nations International School, whose theme this year was "Energy, A Source of Conflict."

Speaking in the General Assembly Hall, Lopes Cardozo presented a version of the "Fusion Road Show," an interactive presentation of issues of energy and fusion which reaches some 2000 Dutch students each year, and then joined the students in debate.
