SRNL is the applied research and development laboratory at the U. S. Department of Energy's Savannah River Site. Throughout its 50-year history, the laboratory has been engaged in a broad spectrum of applied research activities in areas such as tritium technology, hydrogen production and storage, remote handling, advanced materials, and nuclear materials management. The laboratory has an extensive program of partnering with universities, the private sector, and other entities.
