Cook, McCrory Elected AAAS Fellows

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has elected Don Cook (Sandia National Laboratories) and Bob McCrory (University of Rochester) Fellows of the AAAS. New Fellows will be honored on Saturday, February 19 in Washington, DC at the AAAS annual meeting. The meeting is being held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC. Cook is a former director of the pulsed power inertial confinement fusion program at Sandia and a past member of Fusion Power Associates Board of Directors. McCrory is director of the University of Rochester Laboratory for Laser Energetics and is a current member of Fusion Power Associates Board of Directors. Both Cook and McCrory are past recipients of Fusion Power Associates Leadership Awards.

Each year the AAAS Council elects members whose efforts on behalf of the advancement of science or its applications are scientifically or socially distinguished.
