AAAS Elects Meade, Sauthoff Fellows

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has elected
Dale Meade and Ned Sauthoff (Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory) Fellows
of the AAAS. New Fellows will be honored on Saturday, February 19 in
Washington, DC at the AAAS annual meeting. The meeting also includes two
symposia on fusion. A symposium "Fusion: Energy Source for the Future" will
be held on Friday, February 18, 1:45 - 4:45 pm. A symposium "Energy for a
Future without Carbon Emission" will be held Saturday, February 19, 2 - 5
pm. The meeting is being held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in

Meade and Sauthoff are being recognized for their exceptional research
contributions to and leadership in magnetic confinement fusion science.
Each year the AAAS Council elects members whose efforts on behalf of the
advancement of science or its applications are scientifically or socially
distinguished.
