US ITER Workshop Planned

All fusion scientists and engineers interested in contributing to the development of U.S. plans for participation in ITER construction and operation are invited to attend an open U.S. ITER Forum May 8-9 at the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland.

The Forum will be held at The Inn and Conference Center, University of Maryland beginning on the morning of Thursday, 8 May and ending at noon Friday, 9 May 2003.

Those wishing to make a presentation need to submit a title and an abstract online no later than Friday, 25 April 2003. A template will be available to assist groups preparing white papers that describe U.S. ITER Activity Proposals.

A registration fee of $150 will be required for all participants to cover miscellaneous meeting expenses.

The Forum is sponsored by the University Fusion Association, the U.S. ITER Planning Office, and the DOE Office of Fusion Energy Science.
