FESAC Meets Aug 1-2 at PPPL

The US DOE Fusion Energy Sciences Advisory Committee (FESAC) will hold a public meeting August 1-2 at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), Princeton, New Jersey.

Persons wishing to attend must send the following information to dlawson@pppl.gov

Name, Institutional Affiliation, Address, Phone/Fax, Arrival Date, Departure Date, Citizenship and, if not a US citizen, Passport Number and Expiration Date and Place and Date of Birth. Also please indicate whether you plan to go on the tour of NSTX/TFTR on Wednesday August 1 at 5 PM.

The meeting will concentrate on the final report of the FESAC Theory Review Panel (chaired by John Sheffield), The report of the QPS Stellarator Physics Review Panel (chaired by Harold Weitzner) and associated issues related to the proposed compact stellarator program, and the final report of the Burning Plasma Science Panel (chaired by Jeff Freidberg). The FESAC will also hear presentations from Anne Davies (DOE/OFES), Mike Holland (Fusion Budget Examiner at OMB), and representatives from ITER Canada.

A block of rooms has been reserved under the name "FESAC" at the Novotel Princeton Hotel (609)520-1200 for the nights of July 31 and Aug 1 at the rate of $90/night. Van service will be available from the hotel to the PPPL meeting site. The meeting will be in room B-318.
