Clay Sell Named Senate Appropriations Clerk

J. Clay Sell has been named Clerk of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development, the Subcommittee that oversees the fusion budget. He replaces Alex Flint, who resigned at the end of 1999 to take a position in the private sector.

Sell, 33, was previously (since 1997) Administrative Assistant to Rep. William M (Mac) Thornberry (R-TX). He holds a degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University (1989) and a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin (1992).
